“To the uninitiated, it’s easy to see a Porsche as an extravagance. But to own a Porsche is to understand that the things it provides are necessary. Very necessary.
As in: a moment every day that’s genuinely thrilling, even if it’s picking up your dry cleaning. Connection, to a community of like-minded souls. Sharing, of a feeling words can’t describe. Passion, for something that’s stayed true to itself for 70 years. Fulfillment at every turn. Technically, you can live without these kinds of things. But what kind of life is that?”
In collaboration with Gary Doyle, who wrote the above, I conceptualized the visual direction for Porsche’s US launch of their global campaign: There is no substitute. The imagery focuses on alluring, cinematic shots of people, the elements, and cars that, when brought together, communicate the emotion tied to driving a Porsche.
